In my continuing journey towards an adult fashion sense. I have come across a few milestones.
I still maintain my position against nostalgia. What I am looking for is a fashion that transcends decades. One inspiration that comes to mind is the film Blade Runner.
A adjective that comes to mind is retro-futuristic.The fashion of Blade Runner is a fusion of 30's noir, the fashion of the 80s when the film was made, and estimates of future fashion. Deckard's getup is unique in that it is adult, yet not coded in class distincions like most "nostalgic" fashion is. The geometric tie is something I would consider as a part of my wardrobe aesthetic.
While I wouldn't wear dated headwear like Gaff's fedora, this outfit also blends decades in ways that rise above nostalgia
