Pixar has another well-deserved breadmaker in it’s hands(mind the cliche)
I liked how the realistic details meshed with the cartoony images. There is so much to see, and a lot which you won’t soon forget. I could basically smell the ingredients and dishes. I also liked how the actors’ voices blended into the characters’ (I didn’t even know Garofalo lent her voice to the movie). The story and jokes were miles ahead of Cars.
My morbid insight expected a bit which a reasonable viewer would not. I though I would see a digital rendering of rat poop somewhere. I remember Mousehunt went that far (I’m thinking of a certain scene with Christopher Walken).
I recommend the Ratatouille this evening. An exquisite dish!
Personal Note: I find myself enamored with Collette since she reminds me of someone from my recent past.
